From Director Steve Viola: The initial concept for this teaser was originally conceived by Garrett Wagner as a great abstract metaphor for the vicious assassination of Gianni Versace. I picked it up and worked on the visual narrative and progression with my team, as we explored the visual approach and final execution. This was truly a team project – Amie Nguyen, Synderela Peng, Jose Medina, and Alex Yoon were instrumental in helping to realize the visuals and art direction, with Mike Parks, Charles Bergquist, and Kevin Joelson handling the majority of the live action shoot. It was later edited and composited by Mike Parks, with final sound design by Echolab.
