SHORT FILM - Bathed In Light

Sound Design & Final Mix for the latest short film from visionary director Andre Stringer -

Driving along the open desert road, Lynn encounters an otherworldly orb of light. This mysterious phenomenon bridges multiple dimensions, thrusting her into a surreal experience where she meets her doppelgänger from an alternate universe. In this realm of existential uncertainty, Lynn must grapple with the profound implications of dimensional rifts and the haunting multiplicity of her own identity.

SHORT FILM - Regular Rabbit

Written + Directed by Eoin Duffy - Short animation starring Rory McCann (GoT’s The Hound!)

Score - Leo Pearson, Sound Design + Final Mix Gavin Little, ECHOLAB.

Featured at Newport Beach, Annecy, Pictoplasma, ✨ Tribeca Film Festival ✨, and 60+ other fests. The film secured top awards at Portland and Oxford International Film Festivals, and nabbed nominations at Fastnet, Worldfest, and Flicker’s International Film Festival.

Conceptually “Regular Rabbit” challenges our readiness to believe absurd misinformation by deliberately separating visuals from narrative. One does not match the other. It prompts us to question our own gullibility in the face of even the most outrageous claims.

THE ATTACHÉ - Short Film

The Attaché joins troubled lovebirds Rian and Liz on a scenic hike as it is interrupted by a shocking, fiery plane crash. Without a cell signal to call for help, they rush to the aid of the lone living passenger. The discovery of an alluring briefcase amid the rubble drives the wedge between them even further, deepening the existing cracks in their relationship until it goes pop. Rian and Liz may not make it out alive, but the case lives on, giving those who discover it a chance of their own to succumb to the strange spell of the mysterious attaché.

Short Film Directed by Andre Stringer

SHORT FILM - Planet Tobler

An alien wildlife mockumentary set on a distant planet, 'Planet Tobler’ narrated by, Christopher Lloyd( ‘Back To The Future’, ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest’, ‘Adam’s Family’, ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’). Planet Tobler heavily references BBC’s Planet Earth series, presented by David Attenborough. It’s made in admiration of wildlife documentaries like Planet Earth but also takes a cheeky interpretation of the natural world where naughty bits and quirky misfits engulf this foreign land. Sound Designer and Founder of Echolab, Gavin Little helped produce this film with me, and I can’t thank him enough for it! Credits: Directed by Aran Quinn Narrated by Christopher Lloyd( Back To The Future, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Who Framed Roger Rabbit). Produced by Aran Quinn and Gavin Little Written by Aran Quinn, Eric Chang, Alex Trierweiler Animated by Aran Quinn, Damien Bastelica, and Ray Quigley VO Mix Studio: Beacon Street Studios VO Producer: Kate Vadnais VO Mixer: Amber Tisue VO Mix Assistant: Aaron Cornacchio

SHORT FILM - Blinky™

Soon every home will have a robot helper. Don't worry. It's perfectly safe. Written, Directed & Edited by Ruairi Robinson Starring Max Records from "Where The Wild Things Are". Cinematography by Macgregor Music by Olafur Arnalds courtesy of Erased Tapes Funded by Bord Scannan na hEireann / Irish film Board Budget was 45k euro - for the shoot. Visual effects budget was a grand total of zeeero. I designed Blinky, modeled him in 3D and played both the his voice and the body mocap performance. And did most of the VFX. Thankfully all footage of me in the skintight mocap suit has been permanently destroyed. Visual effects were completed over a period of 9 months, of hell. There's a reason why you don't see too many wet CG characters in movies even with 100 million dollar budgets. It's really, really hard.

Sound Design for Short Film - Written and Directed by Oscar Nominated Ruairi Robinson. Starring Max Records (Where The Wild Things Are).

SHORT FILM - GOLEM

***HD fullscreen, earphones and a few minutes of silence recommended*** Film by Patrick Mccue & Tobias Wiesner The movie is based on the short story “GOLEM XIV” of “Imaginary Magnitude” by Stanislaw Lem from 1973. The book is written from the perspective of a military A.I. computer who obtains consciousness, moving towards personal technological singularity with growing intelligence. It starts to refuse military support because it detects a basic lacking of internal logical consistency of war. GOLEM gives several lectures with focus on mankind's position in the process of evolution and the possible biological and intellectual future of humanity before it ceases communication. The movie tells about the first point of its "about man threefold" lecture as a reduced and simplified version while visually weaving this with GOLEM simulating human culture processes based on ideas and dynamics of freedom and curiosity, fear and security, abstraction and fiction, the lack of accessibility in face of unknowing and the need for generating meaning. The whole creative intention about this project is to face your own process in this world with reflection and self responsibility, to stay curious and create, look for new ideas and stay keen. Credits: Voice - Cyrena Dunbar Music - Cliff Martinez (original composition for GOLEM) Sound Design - Gavin Little/ echolab.tv Title Design - Melanie Lukhaup/ luftmasche Content Support - Dr. Michael Cursio basic production information: - started as a thesis in Film& Animation of the Design course at the GSO Academy Nuremberg, Germany in 2009, degree 2010 - more than 1 year of research and concept development (quite fulltime) - producing pictures and sound over about 2.5 years (spare time only) - used Software: Lightwave (FPrime, Kray), Nuke, Aftereffects, Trapcode Particular2 (excessively) - privately funded - mostly rendered at http://garagefarm.net/ Selection of Awards, Screenings, Publications: - Rising Star Award 2013, Cananda International Film festival - Audience Award, Creative Arts Film Festival - Bronze Award, Bassawards, International Awards of Broadcast Design - 3 Nominees for Van d’Or Independent Film Awards 2012, London - Official Selection, Phoenix Film Festival 2013 - Official Selection, Pausefest 2012 - Publication on Stash 98 - Publication on IdN motion Channel v20n3 credits webpages: http://thworks.com/ http://www.patrick-mccue.com/ http://cliff-martinez.com/ http://www.echolab.tv/ http://www.wrongkong.de/ http://www.luftmasche-design.de/ http://fa.ohmrolle.de/ more information and making of material coming soon...

SHORT FILM - The German

Written & Directed by Nick Ryan Starring Toby Kebbell and Christian Brassington 10 minute short film www.thegermanmovie.com A British fighter pilot pursues the german ace that shot down his friend across sky and country... with murder in mind. But he discovers it's not so easy to kill a man when you have to look them in the eye This was funded by an Irish Film Board scheme called 'Short Cuts' and was shot in November 2007. The Budget was €70K, and was used entirely on the live action components of the film - leaving a grand total of ZERO for visual effects! I completed all the visual effects shots, over 120 in total, entirely by myself here at Image Now Films. Dave Head modelled the aircraft (and truck), but I textured, lit, animated and composited the shots over a six month period in 2008.

Sound Design for Short Film - Written and Directed by Nick Ryan. Starring Toby Kebbell.
